Released from jail, Rocco’s old man wants nothing to do with him. Even the village folk ignore him so he turns his hand to debt collecting to try and make some friends. Using his fists, Rocco punches his way through the mountain Mafiosi, settling an old score along the way.

Shot entirely in the city of Lecce, in Salento in the south of Italy, it is worth noting that here the bad guys don’t pull up in Porsches or Fiats but prefer to make their entrance in a traditional horse and cart… no drugs either, here the battlefields are cattle markets, and cows and pigs the heroin and crack cocaine of the rural underworld

Italy Super-8 – My copy has extreme colour fade but I have seen an auction or two for copies in much better shape with some colours still present. Released by AVO Film (pictured below – more info here)

Spain – At least two different VHS releases (one may be a lot better than the other… and it looks like I’ve got the inferior one – unlike the Italian VHS which I believe is full screen, the Spanish VHS is at least letterboxed – it’s this one pictured below… I’m looking for the other one)
