An early historical drama about the life and times of Emperor Nero, one of Rome’s most notorious emperors often credited with burning down half of the city and playing the violin as it turned to ash (neither of which are probably true). Beginning with his childhood years, we see Nero as a lover of the arts and music and far from inclined to take over the reigns from his adopted father, Emperor Claudio.
