A late entry in the western genre, Blood River is a simple tale of revenge between Native Indians and colonial settlers. With the western genre very much in decline and the giallo in ascendance, it’s a curious mix which appears to combine the classic western backdrop with a giallo-inspired plot. If I’m not mistaken, the Italian title owes more than a passing nod to the original title of Agatha Christie’s 10 Little Indians / And Then There Were None…
