A relatively obscure giallo, Head Down, Feet Up is another production which seems to cram in all sorts of social issues with a murderous sub-plot in the background which loosely holds everything together.

A serial killer who specialises in killing teachers is on the loose and Andrea (Corrado Pani) becomes accidentally involved when he decides to lend a hand to one of the victims and catches a glimpse of the nocturnal predator. With his relationship with girlfriend on the rocks, disillusioned with his day job, and with nobody to confide in, Andrea soon becomes a tortured soul as he attempts to unravel the mystery…

Ugo Novello’s sole credit as a director, he seems to have worked mostly behind-the-scenes as a production manager and assistant director, working with some notable figures in the industry, including Liliana Cavani (The Cannibals) and Marco Bellocchio (Fists in the Pocket)

The only known release of this film is the Italian CVR VHS released in the early 1980s.
