The Settimi family is going through a difficult time; the mother passed away many years ago and their father is seriously ill with lung disease, the younger son is an idle student who prefers to spend most of his time partying and the eldest, Dino, loses his job. In order to make ends meet, Dino reluctantly accepts to participate in a robbery but he is then forced into carrying out another job which goes disastrously wrong – culminating in a hostage situation in a primary school, surrounded by the police…
